I guess at some point I should actually add a new post… How about now?
That sound good to you?
It does?! Great!
Last night AudioMohel recorded our first Country Western hit proving once again, AudioMohel is master of all genres of music (our next tune very well might be Opera or Oprah – we haven’t decided which). The tune (penned by Eric) was for the latest Song Fu challange.
Our challenge was:
Write a song from the perspective of an inanimate object. This inanimate object must have no moving parts. Also no computers, no objects that look like living things, either human or animal (i.e. a statue, an action figure, etc.), and no celestial objects (i.e. the sun or the moon). Your song can be in any style you choose.
We decided to again change up our recording setup and record our entry live – Below is the end result.
Also, last night we began work (FINALLY) on a colaberation effort with Widgett Walls of NeedCoffee for the Viva La Fry project (which we are very late for) being run by Ken Plume and Widge. The tune is rough and meant to be Bond-esque. The guys were a bit punchy so the bass is WAY too loud and distorted, but you get the idea… Anyway, that is below too.

The challenge this time was to write a song using exactly 10 unique words. While there was a lot of debate over what that exactly meant, however the competitors seemed to come to a consensus: Using Tequila as an example – it uses 1 unique word repetitively. Our goal was to add exactly 9 more.
After some fist throwing, lots of elbow bashing, and plenty of drinking we came up with our list of words (in no particular order): Some, Tasty, Kevin, Making, Greasy, Bacon, Crispy, Need, Get, Canadian.
Our recording session was a vast improvement over the first challenge submission(Parole Day) . We were able to use live drums now that the drum mics were available and we had a better understanding of the recording process.
We still have some kinks to work out, but over all I think there was vast improvement.
For all of our fans… A look behind the process that makes AudioMohel great. Live TV by Ustream

The folks over at QuickstopEntertainment, in an effort to drive traffic to an all time high decided to allow us, the highest rated band on the internet with Mohel in their name, into the highly prestigious Masters Of Song Fu competition.
It’s sad, really, that we have to lay waste* to all of the other talented musicians in the competition, but what has to be done has to be done.
So keep an eye out over there for updates and new songs (you know you want some) from AudioMohel. We will try to make you, our fans, proud and deliver the high level of face rocking you have come to expect from us.
Peace.
*by ‘lay waste’ we mean lower the bar to such a level that it drags the other bands talent down with us.
